Scoring a job on Wall Street is the dream of many people, especially those working in the financial industry. Influenced by movies such as “The Devil wears Prada“, “Sex & the City“, “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps" and recently “The Wolf of Wall Street" starring Leonardo di Caprio, I’ve always wanted to visit Wall Street and New York City (NYC). I finally went there last summer.
My first impression of NYC? Very vibrant and energetic! For those of you who have never been, Wall Street might surprise you as it is only a narrow street in Lower Manhattan despite the fact that it is the heart of New York City’s financial district and home to the New York Stock Exchange. Corporate lawyers and bankers are the majority of Wall Street’s workforce.

I’ve been told these subways are quite smelly! |

River Cruise
After visiting Wall Street, I boarded the river cruise which sailed along the
Hudson River. The open air upper deck allows you to view NYC’s skyline and skyscrapers, as well as landmarks such as NYC’s
Statue of Liberty. The indoor lower deck offers air-conditioning, and the performance of a musician.

The Statue of Liberty
I really love New York City, especially Alicia Keys’ “Empire State of Mind". Check out this music video of the song with stunning New York City Skyline!
