Le bistrot du Sommelier is a small restaurant located on Armenian Street. It offers French home-style cooking in a cosy setting. The food they serve is totally awesome and mouthwatering! I’d definitely go back to try other dishes, especially the super delicious dessert!! Credits to CS for the photos below.

We started off the meal with some baguette and Salmon rilettes (S$10/ 100grams). The baguette was baked perfectly, it was crispy on the outside but soft in the inside, and it went very well with the salmon rilettes!
Rillettes are a preparation of meat where it is chopped, salted heavily, cooked slowly in fat and shredded. They are normally used as spread on bread. (Source: Wikipedia)
We have also ordered some scallops for the appetizer.
For the main course, we have Cote de boeuf Angus rotie au four (Pour deux, 1kg) (S$148) which comes with a bowl of salad. This is definitely a good dish for sharing!
The Angus prime beef rib was oven-roasted perfectly to medium rare. The meat was tender and it went perfectly with the salad! Simply mouthwatering and very filling!
Lastly, we have picked the Profiteroles au Chocolat (S$15) to finish off the meal. The dessert was made up of two huge scopes of Vanilla ice-cream in warm chocolate sauce and sliced almonds. I was COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY by it!!! It was an excellent mix of warm and cold textures! I also like the fact that it was not very sweet!
I wonder where I can get this dessert in Hong Kong! There are also other desserts on the list which I’d like to come back for, such as the Pear Charlotte!
